How to update Highstage
Background
This guide describes the necessary steps to update your Highstage installation.
Notice that updating Highstage requires administrator privileges.
Update Highstage
Downloading and installing a new version is done through the System/Support Server menu.
Important! This should preferably be done in non-rush hours when few or no people are using the system, since users may experience a short web server drop-out (maximum 2 minutes).
- Run as AdminWrite
- Navigate to System>Support Server>Version history:
The version currently running at server will be highlighted:
- Click on the version links to install a specific version of Highstage.
- Click the execute link and stay on page until “done” is displayed in large font size
Important!
Don't refresh the page whilst an update is running.
It may take several minutes to download and extract zip file, and web server will be stopped for a couple of minutes during the actual upgrade.
Observe that you may get a browser authentication popup while waiting for “done” when web server restarts; you may just click cancel to this popup.
